Hello everybody,

I'm proud to have my husband as well as Cofounder join me on the website. He is a great and awesome person who has taught me about how simple God is. I'm proud to have him a part of this community. So, sit back and relax and let's listen to the words of Mar Sharpe.

God is Simple

Whatever happened to making things simple? You know, go out into the world, and
make things happen to the best of your ability, live comfortably without no issues. Simple things like having no problems whatsoever. I guess I’m being unrealistic, and I agree totally. If
life was simple, I believe many of us would be in different places in our lives, Myself included.
But it’s not.
Life is complicated and that’s just the way it is. No arguing about that. In my life, I’ve
come in contact with a lot of people who feel like since life is complicated then God must be
complicated too. I mean, seriously. If life is this hard and God created this place, then he has to be complicated too, right? Honestly, I don’t think so. Out of all the complicated, unfair things in
life, I feel that God is simple.
Let me explain.
There are people that I’ve encountered, observed, and listened to that seem to make God more complicated than he really is. All of the religious doctrine that comes out of their mouths are things that they personally feel about God. You can’t do this; can’t say this; can’t
wear that; can’t feel a certain way. So many rules and stipulations. I’ve been apart of church practically all my life and I’ve always had my own personal feelings and beliefs when it comes to God. There were always questions that I would ask myself because some of the things I was hearing just didn’t make any sense or it contradicted itself. I’ve always believed, and still do,
that God is a forever loving God that forgives you even in your worst times because He knows that you’re human, and that you’re going to make mistakes repeatedly. I’ve always heard that
God will punish you if you commit a sin or do the slightest action that goes against human nature.
In essence, be perfect.
No sex; no cussing; no wrongdoing; no fornicating; no drinking; no smoking. And these are just a few of the rules that I’ve heard throughout my years. And it’s always based in fear.

Put fear in the hearts of people so they can live the ‘perfect’ life, which is damn near impossible
because we were created to be imperfect. Let’s face it. Human beings are a messy species.
If we were to be perfect people, they’d be no reason for existence. They’d be no flaws,
no lessons, and no reason to get better because we’d already be there.
Where’s the fun in that?
Where’s the growth? How are we supposed to learn and teach one another if we are
perfect from the start?
Call me crazy but I find it interesting and enjoyable to try something and fail at it
because it keeps me going, and I feel like God designed it this way, and it’s really simple when
you think about it. I’m not saying that if you’re on your spiritual journey that you should abandon all principles and live recklessly. That’s not what I’m saying at all. Stay the course and
live righteously. I believe that God rewards those for their discipline and consistency so keep doing what you need to do. But…I believe that He’s also merciful because He knows that you’re not perfect. I believe that people get caught up in being perfect than just being a regular human being, and that throws them off course. It turns into the constant quest for perfection that
you’ll never achieve. Understand what I’m saying. We can always get better and there’s simplicity in the growth. We are all on a journey, and your journey is no greater than mines so let’s not be judgmental but compassionate because God is kind and compassionate and He is love.
Live your life. Do right by yourself and by people. Treat everyone with love. Don’t
discriminate because God has created all life so treat all living things with respect. Respect yourself. Don’t judge because we all have problems. (Yes that means you! So that makes you no better than the next person) Live your life abundantly, which to me, means live your life to the
fullest. Nothing complicated in that formula. People tend to make it difficult by saying you should live this way or that way. My question to you is…how do you feel about how YOU should live? When you advise people about their lives, are YOU looking in the mirror at yourself? Have
YOU had a conversation with God about your life? All the answers you need are within you, and

you have to have the courage and a clear mind to listen to the inner voice, and most
importantly, understand where you’re being led.
I believe that’s the higher power within. An internal GPS that tells you how simplistic
your life can be if you just listen. I believe that’s God. And I believe that’s how simple God can be. No tricks. No riddles. No outside influences to convince you of what’s right for your life. I
believe that outside influences will only confirm the answers you’ve already been given. No difficult antidotes to figure out like a quadratic equation. Simple like addition and subtraction,
like day and night, good and bad. That’s the simplicity of God. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Nothing complicated about HIM.
